Bifeng Gorge
  It is located in the 18 km from the north of Ya’an, Sichuan, covering an area of 2 km2 with a forest coverage rate of above 90%. It has long been known as the “Lungs of Tianfu”. Bifeng Gorge Scenic Area consists of two gorges, with a 7 km gorge on the left green mountains are standing face to face on both sides of the gorges. With beautiful scenery, it is a perfect place for holidays and summer resort. You can go through the gorges to watch the waterfalls and hanging coffins, search and a 6 km on the right, forming a V shape. The the site of “Goddess Nv Wa Patches up the Sky”, and have an intimate contact with various wild animals in the Wildlife Park..
     After 5.12 Earthquake in 2008, the Wolong pandas all were transferred to the Bifeng Gorge Base, which makes this place become the core area for panda protection and scientific research in China as well as the hometown of the world stars: Giant Pandas, such as Tuantuan and Yuanyuan which are given as gifts to Taiwan, Taishan returned from America, the eight panda babies at Beijing Olympic Games and the “World Expo Panda” of Shanghai.

The Giant Panda Breeding Research Base in northern Chengdu, located in Futou Mountain 10 km from downtown, is connected with the urban area via Panda Avenue. It has become a key center in China where ex-situ protection is afforded pandas and other endangered wildlife. The Panda Museum has a wealth of precious exhibits and is an ideal place to get to know pandas and to appreciate the joys of nature. As well as the giant pandas, there are lesser pandas, black-necked cranes, white storks, white swans, black swans, wild geese, mandarin ducks, peacocks and other magnificent creatures, all living in their natural habitats.
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding simulates the ecological field environment of giant panda by using landscape technique and builds an ecological environment suitable for living and breeding of giant panda and several rare wild animals. There are over 20 giant pandas and many rare animals of red panda, black-necked crane and white crane throughout the year. The Base is provided with infrastructures of Scientific Research Building, Open Research Lab, Veterinary Hospital, Animal House and Giant Panda Playground, Swan Lake, Giant Panda Museum and Comprehensive Service Department, integrates the charming natural scenery and beautiful artificial landscape into a whole, and forms an ecological environment suitable for habiting and breeding of giant panda and several rare animals. It is designed to protect the giant panda, enlarge their population and finally release them to the nature.
    It is best to arrive early in the morning because pandas are semi-nocturnal and sleep during the middle of the day.

The Sanxingdui Museum, covering an area of some 12km2, dates from somewhere between 3,000-5,000 years ago, and as such is southwest China’s oldest, biggest and most culturally significant archaeological site representing an ancient city, state and culture. This site is acknowledged as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. The best-preserved parts are along the eastern, western and southern city walls as well as the city walls around Moon Bay. As the lifeblood of Yangzte River Civilization, it cements the place of the Yangtze River (along with the Yellow River) as fundamental to Chinese civilization.
Sanxingdui Museum is located at the northeast corner of Sanxingdui Site, Key Historic Site under State Protection and at the Yazi Riverside of the west of Guanghan, Famous Historical and Cultural City in Sichuan. 38km away from Chengdu in the south and 26km away from Deyang in the north, it is a large modern unique museum of relics of China. The museum was laid with a foundation in August 1992 and was officially opened in October 1997. Sanxingdui cultural relics are precious human culture heritage and are one of cultural relic groups with highest value in historical science, culture and art and with richest ornamental value among spectacular cultural relic groups of China. Among such secret treasures of ancient Shu, there are many grotesque and extraordinary bronze model including grand standing bronze person with height of 2.62m, bronze mask with wideness of 1.38m, as well as bronze tree with height of 3.95m, etc., all of which are unique and unparalleled masterpieces. Such gold objects as bright and such jade objects as pattern-full side tablet are rare treasures of China.
